I had an absolutely amazing time at this hidden gem in the heart of nature. From the moment I arrived at El Pital, Chocolate Paradise, I felt right at home. the staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable. I was even given a walking stick and healing aloe vera from the staff's garden when I had an accident. the breakfast and smoothies made with fresh ingredients from their own garden were delicious. the cacao tour and ceremony were truly life-changing experiences. the garden was teeming with diverse flora and fauna, and waking up to the sights and sounds of squirrels, monkeys, and birds was magical. the cozy living room and breathtaking view of the volcano were the cherry on top. I can't recommend this place enough!
There was nothing I didn't like. 😊.

We were absolutely mesmerized by the beauty of El Pital, Chocolate Paradise. The stunning lakeside location, surrounded by lush tropical plants, created an enchanting and tranquil atmosphere. The bar area, nestled right on the lake, offered breathtaking views and a serene place to relax. We were lucky enough to attend the free morning yoga classes which added an extra touch of tranquility to our stay. The architecture of the place was also impressive, adding to the overall charm. Despite a few small facility issues that were promptly fixed, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for by the manager Ishay, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The unique experience of El Pital, Chocolate Paradise truly left a lasting impression on us.
We did encounter some drawbacks during our stay. The privet small room we stayed in was quite small, and the mosquito net provided was not the best.

The location of the hotel was perfect for the new year celebration. We were able to enjoy stunning sunsets every evening by the lake, which was just a short walk away. the abundance of vegetation and colorful surroundings added to the magical atmosphere. the staff was always polite and smiling, creating a welcoming environment.
The beds in the hotel were extremely uncomfortable, even for a hostel. It made it difficult to get a good night's sleep and affected our overall experience.

The location right by the lake allowed me to swim and admire the stunning view of the volcano. The dorm by the lake was comfortable and not overcrowded, providing a breezy and relaxing atmosphere for a good night's sleep. The homemade family dinners were a highlight, with every meal made with love and bursting with flavor. The organic food and coffee at the cafe were also a delight. The cleanliness of the deluxe room, as well as the changing of the compost toilet, exceeded my expectations. Witnessing monkeys playing right from my bed was a magical experience. The lush and fresh property, filled with flowers, fruit trees, and even cacao, offered a lovely environment for walks. The staff, especially the two gents at the reception, were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The sunrise view from my glass house was breathtaking. Despite some drawbacks such as insects and the absence of hot water, I felt safe and comfortable with the mosquito nets and had an overall enjoyable stay.

The location of this hotel was absolutely stunning. Being able to relax right on the water with a view of the volcano was truly magical. the sunsets were breathtaking and made our romantic escape even more special. Another great aspect was the food. Although it was all vegan, it was incredibly delicious and sustainably sourced. We especially loved the breakfast and desserts. Lastly, the staff were amazing. They were friendly, helpful, and made us feel right at home during our stay.
That some things seemed to go missing from the public areas, so we had to be cautious of our belongings. It would have been nice to feel a bit more secure.
